Cervical spondylosis is a disorder caused by abnormal wear on the cartilage and bones of the neck (Cervical vertebrae) with degeneration and mineral deposit in the cushions between the vertebrae (Cervical disks). Pain in the neck is common and may be natural consequences of ageing in people over fifty. Bones in the neck (Cervical Spines) progressively degenerate as we grow older. Cervical spondylosis (Arthritis of the neck) may result from bony spurs. Cervical Spondylosis may lead to chronic pain and stiffness in the neck that may also radiate upper extremities. The general symptoms includes pain and stiffness in the neck which may spread to the arms or shoulders, numbness and weakness of the upper extremities, intermittent shooting pain in the neck shoulders and arms, fatigue and irritability, disturbed sleep, ringing in the ears & pain in the back of head.
